ALF Trivia
Here is some ALF trivia I found out...
Did you know, that...
- ...that "No problem" is
"pas de problčme!" in France,
"Niks aan de hand!" in the Netherlands,
"No hay problema!" in Mexico,
"mondai nai" in Japan,
"Null Problemo" in Germany,
"Ekkert Mál" in Iceland
and "Ingen problem!" in Danmark?
- ...that the house of the UFO expert Dexter Moyers in "Project: ALF" was
also used as a scenery in the movie "Face/Off"?
Just take a look at the pictures...
Compare the pictures above (from "Face/Off" with Nicolas Cage)
with the picture below from "Project: ALF". It's the same builing except
that it says "Walsh Institute" on the builing in "Face/Off". And funnily
enough, the builing was also used in a german commercial spot in 1998.
- ...that ALF was shown in more than 80 countries, and still is shown at least in some of them?
- ...that there is a movie called "Permanent Midnight" about the ALF writer
Jerry Stahl? The scripts of the episodes #1.8 "Don't Make My Brown Eyes Blue",
#1.25 "La Cucaracha" and #4.5 "Mind Games" are by Jerry Stahl. The
interesting thing is that the was on drugs constantly when he wrote
the screenplays for the ALF episodes. And in the film about Jerry Stahl,
ALF is mentioned, too (it just has an other name in the movie). And in
the movie, Jerry Stahl is played by Ben Stiller whose mother is Anne
Marea who plays Dorothy Halligan in "ALF".
- ...that Liz Sheridan (Rachel) is featured in the 2001 music video
"Ain't It Funny" of singer Jennifer Lopez?
- ...that Max Wright (Willie) had an short appearance in the US mystery series
"Early Edition", Liz Sheridan (Rachel) had become Seinfeld's mother after her
time on ALF, and that Paul Dooley (Whizzer) had a cool appearance on the sitcom "Ellen"?
